A Fresh Touch at La Petite Auberge: What We’ve Upgraded for 2025

During the winter of 2024, La Petite Auberge underwent a little transformation.

It wasn’t a complete overhaul — more like a collection of thoughtful upgrades that, together, make a big difference for your holiday in 2025.
From the pool to the garden, everything has been designed with your comfort and enjoyment in mind.

Let’s take a look!

💦 A Refreshed Pool for Peaceful Summer Days

Last summer, a technical issue gave our pool quite a challenge. The water turned, and our old filtration system struggled to cope. So we listened to expert advice — and made some smart changes.

We installed a more powerful filtration system and took the opportunity to switch to salt water.
Why? Because it’s gentler on the skin, more eco-friendly, and easier to manage thanks to a new automatic system.

Most of the work was done by Baptiste himself — learning new skills along the way, and taking great pride in making things better, one step at a time.

🎨 A New Look, a New Atmosphere

Once we decided to upgrade the filter, we thought — why not refresh the liner too?

The previous sandy-toned liner was getting a little tired. We hesitated: should we stick with the warm lagoon feel we knew, or go for something new?

In the end, we chose a soft light grey liner — more modern, yet calm and elegant.
The result? A crystal-clear blue water that sparkles in the sun and brings a fresh, peaceful vibe to the whole space. We love it!

🧱 Stone Wall Finish for a Touch of Charm

The wall along the pool also needed some care. Baptiste rolled up his sleeves again and covered it in a beautiful stone cladding.

It’s a detail, but it makes all the difference — adding natural charm and giving the whole area a more cohesive, welcoming look.

Another hands-on project, made with patience and care.

🍽️ A Garden That Welcomes Everyone

This year, we had the pleasure of hosting several group bookings — with all three cottages rented out at once. Up to 20 guests, all enjoying time together.

It was wonderful — but we were running out of garden furniture!

So we invested in two large outdoor tables with matching chairs, so everyone can dine together in the shade.
And because nothing goes to waste, our older picnic tables now sit in quiet corners of the garden — perfect for a morning coffee, a relaxed lunch, or a sunset apéritif.

🌿 Renovation With Heart

These upgrades may not be flashy. But they’re meaningful.

  • A more comfortable and efficient pool
  • A garden that’s ready for big gatherings
  • A space that feels even more warm and welcoming

And above all, everything was done with love — often by our own hands — thinking of the people who will come and stay.

We hope you’ll enjoy it as much as we enjoyed making it happen.
